Vedic Belladonna, a beautiful Belladonna from the open woods of Kashmir, the plants have distinctly purple leaves and larger purple/black flowers. More tolerant of warmer summer temperatures than regular Belladonna, this is the type used in Ayurvedic Medicine, primarily as a topical pain reliever and nervine. Like all Belladonna species, toxicity limits internal use. Prefers rich, moist soil and partial shade. Hardy perennial to zone 7.
