Pretty blue-green pea-like foliage grow in a lush rosette eventually sending up 3 foot stalks with nice blue-violet flower spikes. Traditionally the root is used used as a purgative, emetic and anti-inflammatory and is also known as an immune stimulant. Very Drought tolerant. Prefers full sun. Perennial. Zone 3.
