Centaury, European


Feverwort. An excellent bitter much easier to grow than Yellow Gentianan with similar medicinal activity. Used when there is stomach or intestinal ulceratio or for enhancing digestion of rich foods. The Rubbery bluegreen leaves form a rosette eventually blooming to a foot or so with sweet pink blooms. Self seeding and prefers good drainage and full to partial sun. Annual / biennial. Hardy to zone 8
