Well known as an old time cough remedy. Infusions are also useful for weak stomach, lack of appetite and persistent bronchitis. This herb was used to flavor the old fashioned Horehound candies. Easy to grow with pretty lighter green foliage and stalks of pale blooms. Harvest flowering plant for tea, tincture or cough syrup. Can multiply quickly if not controlled.Prefers Full or partial sun. Perennial. Hardy to zone 4.
