Cascara Sagrada


Cold hardy, deciduous tree, native to the Pacific Northwest and the Rockies. The bark is dried and cured for at least a year, after which it may be tinctured or made into an infusion to use as a laxative. Use with caution can be a powerful purgative. Loves sun and water. Hardy to Zone 6.
